Nova Electric: WMNGL series inverters

Nova Electric, a division of Technology Dynamics Inc.,  has launched a WMNGL series of wall-mount enclosed inverters.

Rated at 2KVA and 3KVA, the pure sinewave inverters were designed for on-board rail applications that require 72 VDC input (50-90 VDC) and 115VAC single phase 60 Hz pure sinewave output., company officials said in a press release.

The series meets the NFPA130:2010 standards for fixed gateway transit and passenger-rail systems. The cabinet size, which weighs 35 pounds, is 14-inches high by 17-inches wide by 5.27-inch deep.

In addition, the inverter family meets the North American, South American and European Union performance, safety and environmental specifications for powering on-board passenger applications for mobile and wireless connectivity.

The inverters are wall-mounted inside the engine room of the locomotive to power on-board railway applications throughout the train coaches.
