PS Technology: PTC Training Package

PTC Prime from PS Technology is a fully developed curriculum, knowledge testing and practical testing package designed to help short-line railroads implement a positive train control (PTC) program. Available as a rental by the week or for purchase, PTC Prime delivers with all hardware, software, training and testing materials needed.

This self-contained, by-the-week training solution derived from Class I railroads and simulators lets a railroad certify a handful or even thousands of employees. Training stations are small enough to fit on top of a desk, and can be set up in less than 30 minutes (internet connection required).

Training administrators can securely assign students individually or in bulk and then monitor, track and schedule training easily through the training portal. Using graphics and accurate physics models, PTC Prime simulations provide realistic train handling during training and testing.

For an even more realistic training environment, a three-quarters-scale desktop controller comes with the training and has the feel of real train controls. The PTC interface used is emulated from the in-cab I-ETMS display, with the simulator taking care of back-office and wayside object information.
