Phoenix Contact: Device for secure cellular remote connectivity

Phoenix Contact's new TC mGuard devices leverage cellular networks, such as Verizon and AT&T, to provide secure remote communications wherever a wired connection isn't possible.

The TC mGuard meets the demand for remote maintenance and secure supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), company officials say. For remote maintenance and support, the device connects through Phoenix Contact's free mGuard Secure Cloud service.

The combination of cellular networks and a virtual private network (VPN) ensures a secure solution for remote maintenance and support. For secure SCADA, the device features an active firewall, VPN technology, network redundancy, and support for multiple carriers under one part number to ensure high availability and secure applications.
