Rail Car Counts 2009: What's next?

Rail Car counts have historically been a good indicator of this industry's economic health. 2009 has brought dramatic change to the rail industry as lessors and shippers have tightened belts and cut down on car acquisitions.

So how should railroaders here in the U.S. prepare for the days, weeks and months ahead? Find out on Tuesday, June 23 when Toby Kolstad, principal of Rail Theory Forecasts, shares his take on the recession and the toll it's taking on the rail-car community. He'll also offer up his most recent rail-car delivery forecast.

The 75 minute presentation will look at the obvious questions facing the rail industry: How deep will depression go. How long will it last? Is the worst over or is this economic "reset" the new reality? You'll also get a detailed look at four groups of cars: tank, coal, intermodal, and grain. Besides the railcar forecasts, the webinar explores the underlying need for the cars and the prospects of how the current situation will change.

You will learn:

* How far orders/deliveries will fall
* How fast the industry will recover
* The long term outlook (to year 2020)
* When orders for new coal cars will recover
* What happened to Ethanol
* How train speeds are depressing demand for new equipment

It's only $195!
