The yard cleaner 29-4 cleans the intertrack area, the track itself, and through switches. Scarifiers mounted at the front of the machine will scarify where the material in the track and intertrack area is compacted. Side-mounted plows grade down the inter-track area and plow the material toward each rail for the broom to load. An operator and helper are required to operate the machine. It loads air dumps, hoppers and gondolas with a side height up to 12 feet above the top of the rail. An optional dust collector is available. Optional retractable rubber tires allow the machine to be moved between locations by TOFC or over the highway.
