The Uni-Spiker Model USH-2 incorporates a Briggs & Stratton 18-horsepower engine that allows the machine to do a variety of jobs — such as driving spikes, tamping, breaking concrete and cutting pavement. It also has power reserves for other hydraulic tools. Because the machine is lightweight and can be handled by one person on track, it is suited for small-gang concepts. The well-balanced machine is designed to minimize operator fatigue and the potential for injury. Its design enables the spike driver to travel from one side of the track to the other.
