The Model PTH 350 track-laying gantry is designed for railway track renewal or new track construction. It is used to remove old track panels and renew with either pre-panelled sections or individual wood, concrete or steel ties from standard flat cars. It can operate on straight track, curves, levels and grades, as well as under catenary and inside tunnels. With one set of gantries, 800 to 1,400 feet of track per hour can be laid and removed simultaneously, depending on worksite conditions, the company says.
