Union Tank Car Company (UTLX) manufactures a complete line of standard and specially designed tank cars ranging in capacity from 13,200 to 33,800 gallons with gross rail load capacities up to 286,000 pounds. The cars are offered for lease or sale to producers of chemicals, petro-chemicals, compressed gases, fertilizers and food products. Special features include: Funnel-Flow® sloping tanks, low-profile ball valves, E-Z Read™ gauge bars, large-flow capacity safety valves, E-Z Lift™ manway covers and remote operating valve handles. Manufacturing plants are located in Alexandria, LA, and Sheldon, TX.
