Orgo-Thermit offers its degradable crucible process, designed and engineered to improve productivity, safety and to simplify weld installation. The degradable crucible accommodates all rail sizes including compromise rail sections. Orgo-Thermit continues to offer 2- and 3-piece mold configurations for 1-inch gap welding. Also available is their 2.75-inch wide gap weld, Full Head Repair weld and Head Alloyed weld. The Head Alloyed weld process is designed to produce high hardness welds on the running surface of the rail, keeping the base ductile, and used specifically for welding greater than 380 Brinell Hardness steel rails. Orgo-Thermit products are manufactured according to a rigid quality assurance program, ensuring the highest degree of production consistency.
