Both the short nose and standard operator cabs improve operational safety for employees. Each feature a new AAR control stand on a raised platform and a window configuration that contribute to improved visibility of crews on switch steps. Tinted sliding windows and an under floor lining increase thermal insulation and reduce interior noise, improving the comfort of regular operating crews. An under floor HVAC also improves operational crew comfort and HVAC reliability. Railpower's Short Nose and Standard Operator Cabs both offer many customer-specific options available upon request.
