The Walker AIRSEP® closed crankcase system for diesel engines is available in several new rail configurations for 2008. The AIRSEP has been prominently used on diesel engines since the 1980s, the company says, adding that the system is widely used to process fumes on CALTRANS and Amtrak HTEL power units. AIRSEP systems are available for CAT 3500 series engines, or equivalent power packages, as well as a new kit for Cummins QSK19 series engines. Benefits include minimized crankcase emissions, a 90-day service cycle, and reduced chance of stack coking and stack fires, the company says.
