The ballast regulator 26 Series includes ballast shaping and profiling machines equipped with a cab-controlled, one-pass transfer plow capable of plowing in either direction, plowing in or out, and transferring ballast from one side of the track to the other. The 36-inch-wide floating ballast box wings are reversible and hydraulically controlled from the operator's cab. Each wing is raised, lowered and positioned to meet various track profiles by means of hydraulic cylinders and a cable winch equipped with an enclosed motor and brake. The powerful rear broom features a hydraulically raised deflector that enables effective sweeping through switches, the company says.
