GNB Industrial Power offers a complete line of locomotive starting batteries including both flooded and valve regulated technologies. GNB Industrial Power's KDZ flooded batteries include 8V monoblocs and 32V unitized trays. The two models of KDZ monoblocs are 450 and 600 Amp-hours and are constructed with high-impact polyethylene. The KDZ unitized batteries are available in 500 and 650 Amp-hours and are designed for 180 day watering cycles. Exide also offers the Element SLS valve regulated locomotive starting battery. These 32V units utilize steel trays and have a capacity range of 500 to 710 Amp-hours. The Element SLS is designed to eliminate battery maintenance such as watering and specific gravity checks normally seen with flooded batteries.
