The boot-lift rail car connector connects hopper cars to the under-track unloading system for unloading — no more crawling under the car to attach unloading boots, the company says. Dual air over hydraulic lift cylinders raise the spring seals of the boot against the hopper car unloading gate to provide a transfer of material. The connector automatically adjusts as the car rises. Models to suit any bulk carrying car are available, the company says, adding that adapter plates allow interchangeability. Pneumatic or manual aligners simplify car spotting. Custom engineering is available.
