Stella-Jones/BPB Corporation has been providing treated timber products to railroad customers in North and South America for more than 50 years. The company provides a complete line of bridge timber and accessory walkway timbers, guard timbers, spacing blocks and hardware. Bridge timber is supplied primarily in oak and southern yellow pine and can be machined and provided with straight daps, elevated daps, super elevated dapping, incising, end-plating, tag identification, hook bolt drilling and attached spacing blocks. Bridges are treated with creosote and the company now offers the new borate/dual treatment designed to add to the resistance of fungi and insect attack.
