Models E-160 and AB-99 car retarders are offered new and remanufactured, with a full line of replacement parts. The new SR-2000 skate retarder is designed for the pull-out end of hump yards, where positive coupling and increased safety is required. The SR-2000 features: different length panels for “drop-in installation”; a fail-safe design insuring retardation in case of power failure and allowing one person to gauge retarder (shoe wear compensation) with no hand tools; and under 10 minutes adjustment time per unit, the company says.
