MD offers EPA certified emissions kits for the entire spectrum of 645 and 710 locomotive engine families. These kits are certified under 40 CFR 1033 to comply with Tier 0+ or Tier 1+ emissions standards as required. More than 50 kit configurations in eleven EPA certified locomotive engine families are offered, for comprehensive coverage of 645 roots-blown and turbocharged versions, and all 710 MUI and EUI engines. All EMD locomotive models are included. Standardization of kit components allows application of the same power assemblies on any engine configuration within the 645 or 710 model ranges.
