The Burro/Badger 1085CR is an on/off rail knuckle boom excavator. A Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel engine rated for 148 horsepower at 2,200 rpm supplies ample power to dig, lift, thread rail, insert ties, bore holes and accomplish many other tasks when equipped with the necessary attachments. The excavator is rail-capable by utilizing friction-drive railgear and off-rail speeds up to 29 mph are possible. The machine also offers four-wheel drive; planetary axles; reach to 30 feet, 8 inches at ground level; digging depth up to 18 feet, 11 inches and the ability to lift up to 18,388 pounds. Dual outriggers are standard.
