Progress Rail Services produces a line of grade crossing and wayside signaling structures featuring such innovations as internal light mounting on wayside structures of the Lincoln Industries design, which contain the maintainer inside of the structure at all times. The company says its patented sliding safety ladder has revolutionized the gate-cantilever combo to allow the maintainer to safely climb over the gate mechanism while not climbing “through” it. The slide ladder assembly can also be used on standard grade crossing cantilevers and wayside signal structures to keep the ladder up and out of reach.
