Its multi-mode communications package enables a wireless data link to locomotives. GE Rail also uses advances in communication-based train control to boost productivity, safety and situation awareness for signaled and dark territory. The Incremental Train Control System uses radio data links and locomotive mounted computers for cost-effective wireless cab signaling, the company says.
