Motive Equipment offers a range of different size locomotive cab refrigerators. The Model ME4170 has an internal capacity of 2.5 cubic feet of storage area. The ME4130 offers 1.5 cubic feet of storage and the ME4250 is somewhat smaller at 1.25 cubic feet of cold storage. All units operate from the locomotive's 74 VDC power supply. The power is inverted to run a 115 VAC compressor and motor. These refrigerators are designed to stand up to the rugged railroad environment and the cooling compartments are made of stainless steel to provide a sanitary, easy to clean area. Models with provisions for ice cubes are also available.
