S&C Distribution Company provides a unique circuiting solution to another old problem. Our model 205-3 High Water Detector options offers an AC/DC version requiring only two wires. However, the major advances in the design actually start with the detector itself. Maintenance considerations, such as ease of access and testing make the 205-3 a very practical device. Water enters and drains from it through screened ports drilled in the bottom. Similar screened ports at the top of the detector insure against air pressure resisting the rise of water. Water contacting the electrodes shorts the circuit, causing the HWPR relay to de-energize. Recommended circuit includes a push-button reset to guard against wave action causing the high water indication to cycle on and off, and forces the presence of someone capable of evaluating the condition that resulted in the detection.
