Western-Cullen-Hayes Inc.: Model HRS-100 High Rise Derail Operating Stand

Western-Cullen-Hayes Inc.

The W-C-H Model HRS-100 high rise derail operating stand is primarily a one-piece weldment and is shipped assembled, ready for installation. The only replaceable parts are the targets, connecting rod, lamp tip (if used) and the adjustable 1-inch diameter eyebolt. The target vanes are normally placed centered, 41-5/8 inches above the top of the ties. Higher target heights can be accommodated. Standard units are equipped with red and white target vanes, which are 14-gauge steel, and 5-foot, 2-inch adjustable connecting rod. Tests conducted at the company's plant show that a Model HB derail with a derail wheel crowder can be operated with less than 30 pounds of pull effort. Model HRS-100 features an ergonomic design; a handle 34 inches above the top of the tie; a stroke that adjusts for any sliding derail; and a stand that can be padlocked in on- and off-rail positions. It also allows movement of sliding derail without bending or stooping.
