Capable of handling 1,200 pounds at a radius of 24 feet from track center, the KBC 1100 Bridge Crane has a boom and grapple designed for quickly replacing bridge ties, caps, and stringers. A 4,000-pound capacity winch easily handles caps and stringers within a radius of 10 feet of the track centerline. Center locking rail dogs clamp the machine to the rails for working over the side. Heavy-duty, all-welded reinforced construction of the upper deck and mainframe withstands loading and provides long life of the equipment. The propel system is at the deck level of the lower frame, allowing easy access to the motor, chain, etc. Each axle is powered by a hydraulic motor and #100 chain.
