An efficient tie exchanging machine, the KTR 400 Tie Replacer can remove or insert ties. The operator enjoys a cushioned, adjustable seat with joystick controls for work head operation, giving precise proportional control for the tie removal/insertion process. Engine controls and monitoring are located on an easily accessible console. An open operator station with canopy roof has a single point lift for picking up the machine. A 110-horsepower engine provides power for the hydraulic functions and the propel system, with the three speed manual transmission providing a travel speed up to 30 mph. An 80 gallon fuel tank allows for 16 hours of operation. A permanently mounted turntable with easily accessed controls allows the machine to turn for work in either direction.
