Herzog: ProScan LiDAR Truck

Herzog’s ProScan LiDAR truck scans the surface of the railroad right-of-way at speeds up to 30 mph. The data captured can be used to create a three-dimensional view of the track, ballast and ditch profile, and identify the location of right-of-way assets. This technology increases ballast survey accuracy and decreases track time on busy corridors. Tonnages can be seamlessly exported to our GPS trains for automated ballast dumping.
