The RPS-2000 was designed by KLD to satisfy the growing need for accurate and continuous rail profile information for the rail grinding industry. It mounts to the front and rear of a rail grinder to allow for the real-time processing of each rail profile before and after each pass of a rail grinding machine. A key feature is the use of the built-in rail weight identification system to select the ideal rail profile to grind. In addition, each of its measurement sensor heads, as well as the central computer, are positively pressurized to handle the harsh rail grinding environment.
