The Model DK-3 rail de-scaling machine is designed to remove mill scale and rust from the ball of the rail in order to allow proper operation of the track circuit. The machine is equipped with a lever-operated device which allows the operator to choose between two levels of pressure of the grindstone on the rail, depending on the work to be done.
