SEFAC says it offers rail lifts as a simple, low-cost solution for rail maintenance applications as no civil engineering is required. Available for all rail applications, with capacities from 10,000 pounds to 50,000 pounds per column, the lifts can be used to lift all types of vehicles from light rail to locomotives. The lifts are custom engineered and manufactured for specific requirements — with the company's guidance, choose the height, control system and lifting pad configuration. SEFAC rail jacks come with computer aided synchronization, a safety conscious self locking ACME thread screw design and an ability to operate as multiples of four lifts for lifting coupled rail cars. The lifts provide a cost-effective alternative to in-ground lifts, the company says.
