Teleweld's rail slotting grinder is designed for cross grinding rail ends to prevent chipping from end flow. This sturdy, precision-built unit features a rail slotting grinder, is portable and is easily operated by one person, the company says. It weighs 80 pounds, including a fuel supply for four hours of operation. A rubber-tired wheel allows easy moving between and along the rails. The unit uses an 8-inch diameter grinding wheel; 1/8-inch, 5/32- or 3/16-inch thicknesses are available. Extra grinding wheels are available from stock. It is also available with a 1-1/2-horsepower, 230-volt, three-phase, 60-cycle electric motor.
