The Proceco automatic bogie washer is designed to clean rail car bogies moving on their own wheels, truck frames without wheels, or other components loaded onto a trolley. The cleaning process consists of a wash stage using a continuously recirculated and filtered hot water cleaning solution, followed by a freshwater rinse stage. During the wash cycle, a spray manifold surrounds the four sides of the stationary bogie and travels back and forth the entire length of the part designed to ensure complete cleaning of all surfaces. Typical cleaning time is 30-60 minutes and requires no labor except for loading/unloading, the company says.
