Burro Badger rough-terrain cranes that have been utilized in heavy construction industries for more than 20 years are available for railway use with the addition of friction drive railgear. Capacities range from 30 to 55 tons and the cranes feature a wide stance for enhanced off-rail stability. Out and down riggers are standard. The boom is available in lengths of 60, 80 and 105 feet. The cranes are available with couplers, train line air, magnet generator, a variety of hook blocks and weights and a tow winch. They are designed for general maintenance-of-way use, but also offer capacities sufficient enough for many B&B functions, the company says.
