Progress Rail, MOW Division: Safelok Klip Remover 9-1

Progress Rail, MOW Division

The Safelok Klip Remover 9-1 is designed as a compact power tool for removing McKay Safelok rail clips from concrete tie track. In its working mode, the machine is controlled by one track-walking operator using two hand controls. One control activates the clip removal sequence and the other controls machine travel. With the self-propel feature to minimize operator effort, it is possible to remove clips from up to 800 ties per hour, the company says. Off-tracking and maneuvering is gained with rubber-tired wheels which can be set down quickly.
