Siemens Mobility, Inc.

Siemens End-of-Train (EOT) and Head-of-Train (HOT) are used to effectively monitor/report conditions at the rear of the train to the locomotive engineer. The EOT monitors diagnostic/status conditions at the rear of the train and is available in standard and dual-pipe configurations. EOT units include an air generator to charge the internal battery, a GPS receiver, an event recorder and a single pushbutton control. They feature a high-strength polymer enclosure, enclosed antenna and AEI tag, a high visibility marker and a positive, horizontal, 4-hole mounting mechanism. The console-mounted (stand-alone) or integrated HOT configurations convey information to the engineer via a full-featured front-panel user interface, or via the locomotive computer display. Both the EOT and the HOT meet or exceed AAR guidelines and are compatible with all existing brands of telemetry products. The EOT Phone Home remote monitoring and asset management service is a subscription-based application, allowing operators to cost-effectively deploy, monitor, track and maintain EOT devices via a web interface.
