Sakura of America: Solid Marker®

Sakura of America

Sakura's Solid Marker® is a solidifed paint, high-temp (14 F to 392 F) marker that marks on most surfaces, including those that are rusty, dusty and wet, without wearing off. Solid Marker was invented by Sakura in 1977 for the shipbuilding industry, and was designed to withstand harsh environments. Solid Marker remains legible on metals under high welding temperatures. Above 392 F the color pigments burn away, but a visible “after-mark” is still discernable to the naked eye. Solid Marker also comes in a Slim version with a slimmer barrel and tip for slimmer marks.
