The Telebrineller system, developed for use by welding crews in the field, is based on proven metallurgical knowledge, the company says. The complete system, in its case, weighs less than 10 pounds. One hammer blow, measurement of the resulting impressions, and the manipulation of a basic equation on the computer are all that is required. The test bars, which are the core of this system, are calibrated to a uniform hardness of plus or minus 3 percent of the labeled BHN. Designed for field use, all parts are rugged, solid and able to deliver accurate measurements in all weather, under the roughest field conditions, the company says.
