The Track Watch Safety System alerts track workers of oncoming rail traffic. System components include: TPass3, which is worn by workers, providing audible and visual alerts of an approaching train or maintenance vehicles; panic buttons and motion-sensor alerts other personnel of emergencies; a Train Detector sends a wireless signal from a passing train/vehicle to a track worker's TPass3; a SuperCell alerts a supervisor of approaching rail traffic and workers in distress, with the ability to reset-test the Train Detector; and a Track Side Warning Alarm alerts all workers with a bright strobe light and siren. Optional micro-repeaters extend the operating range and a locomotive cab-installed alerting unit indicates track workers ahead.
