The Ty-Gard 2000 blocking- and bracing-type freight restraint system attaches to the wall with a pre-bonded adhesive. It consists of 15-inch-wide bands of industrial fiber-reinforced material, and is designed for a wide range of intermodal shipments using drums, barrels, cartons and bulk containers. It is AAR-approved for hazardous materials and for double-deck loads in 20-foot containers. Single or double barriers can be applied. Double-tiered and offset loads, and high-density lading that requires front and rear end voids, can be accommodated easily, the company says. The barrier material, supplied in 500-foot rolls, has a strength of 600-foot-pounds minimum per inch of width.
