Racine Railroad Products: Ultra Kut 3 Rail Saw

The Racine Ultra Kut 3 is a lightweight, portable 14-inch or 16-inch abrasive rail saw. The saw is powered by a new 9.2-horsepower 3120 K Husqvarna two-cycle engine that is capable of cutting through 132-pound rail in under a minute, the company says. New features include an air injection system with a centrifugal cleaning system for cleaner air into the air chamber and a heavy-duty filtration system for longer lifespan and serviceability. Available in pre-mixed or patented oil injection, that requires no manual mixing of fuel and oil, which minimizes repairs and downtime due to wrong fuel mix. A specially designed rail clamp attaches the saw firmly to the rail and enables the operator to side cut or cut from the top of the rail for maximum use of every blade, the company says. Designed for easy serviceability, Racine offers specially designed maintenance kits for 200 or 400 cuts. An optional storage case is available.
