Pandrol's Under Tie Pads are custom made resilient systems designed to reduce track maintenance, increase quality of track and provide vibration mitigation by attaching elastic elements to the bottom surface of the ties. The Under Tie Pads help distribute loads more evenly in the track which has a positive influence on track settlement, reduces impact loadings and consequently increases the lifecycle of the track.Areas where Under Tie Pads should be considered are transition zones, bridge approaches, special track work, locations where ballast contamination or noise and vibration control are an issue.Pandrol's Under Tie Pads are designed to be bonded to the wet concrete tie during manufacture, by using the patented CDM MFF™ technology (Micro Filament Fastener). The CDM MFF™ is suitable for use with any type of tie making process (long line or carrousel) and concrete type. They are also suitable for use with wood ties.
