The Mimco unloading gate opener is a pneumatic wrench designed to provide more than 1,700 foot pounds of torque at 90 psi to open the most stubborn bulk material hopper car gates, and thus reduce costly unloading delays and eliminate the need for “cheater bars” and “strong arm” tactics, the company says. The opener's air motor enables the device to achieve and maintain increased torque output as well as provide extended service life. An adapter kit is available to update M90 gate jack rail car gate openers already in service.
