Koppers manufactures oak and mixed hardwood crossties that are pressure treated with creosote or dual treated with borate and creosote. Superior quality control provides verifiable and repeatable preservative retention levels to ensure cost-effective extended service life in all decay zones. We manage every aspect of our wood tie production from untreated timber to treatment and transportation. Pre-plating services are also available. We operate eight U.S. treatment facilities, which maintain AAR M-1003 Quality, ISO 14001 and RC 14001 Environmental Certifications, plus one plant in Ashcroft, British Columbia.
