SPX's “Power Jack” is designed specifically for demanding railroad applications. It's portable and compact, and ideal for rail car and heavy-equipment maintenance, the company says. The jack's lifting range is 24-70 inches (1-inch increments), using seven extensions that fit over and around the piston, giving maximum stability side load protection. “Power Jack” has a 60-ton lifting capacity, 24-inch collapsed height for low-clearance lift pads and 14-inch stroke for maximum lift. Foam-filled tires (16-inch) allow moving with minimal effort. The load-lowering valve eliminates dangerous chatter and bounce while lowering the load smoothly, the company says, adding that the jack's steel base is not prone to cracking.
