Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) crews have finished installing underground weather-tight seals on third-rail power feeds and jumper cables, the agency announced yesterday.WMATA began installing the seals — which are also known as sealing sleeves — following a June 2015 recommendation from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
