Operation Lifesaver Inc. is soliciting applications for its 2022 Rail Transit Safety Education Grants.
Totaling $200,000, the grants are awarded to transit agencies and governments that provide transit service to conduct transit-rail safety education and public awareness initiatives, OLI officials said in a press release.
Grants are capped at $20,000 per recipient and require non-federal match funding of at least 25%. Projects must be focused on safety education or public awareness initiatives in communities with operating or planned commuter-rail, light-rail, subway and streetcar systems. Project materials are subject to OLI approval.
Applications are due Oct. 17 and awards will be announced Dec. 1. More information is available here.
