The Georgia and Florida Railway (GFRR) recently recognized shipping safety by providing a $1,000 community donation to the fire department of Albany, Georgia.
The donation was presented to the Albany Fire Department during a ceremony honoring GFRR recipients of the OmniTRAX Safe Shipper Award, which recognizes companies that display shipping safety by handling loaded rail cars with no accidental releases during the prior year. GFRR is a managed affiliate of OmniTRAX.
Award recipients included STS of Albany, Colquitt Ag Service, Poet Group and GP Cellulose, all of which received a $1,000 contribution, GFRR officials said in a press release.
