MxV Rail announced this week the return of in-person training courses to the Security and Emergency Response Training Center in Pueblo, Colorado.

The center provides hands-on, realistic training courses in surface transportation hazardous materials response, MxV officials said in a press release. The center suspended in-person training in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has since offered virtual classes.

SERTC is introducing new training facilities and course curriculum. On-site courses focus on highway emergency response, tank cars, surface transportation incident management and hazardous materials. Some courses are taught via on-site and online formats, company officials said.

The center also provides online-only courses on surface transportation emergency preparedness and security with specializations in freight and passenger rail.

MxV Rail is a subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads.
