Operation Lifesaver offers new transit safety educational materials

Operation Lifesaver Inc., in partnership with the Federal Transit Administration, yesterday released a suite of new rail-safety education materials for transit riders.

The assets are available to transit agencies, OLI state programs and the public, and can be found on the OLI website. The materials include new 30- and 15-second video and audio public service announcements in English and Spanish; a transit safety brochure; social media graphics; and a six-minute transit safety video.

"I encourage rail transit agencies to use these safety education and outreach materials as a way to increase safety on and around their rail transit systems. Together, we are making a difference and saving lives," said FTA Administrator Nuria Fernandez in a press release.
