Cybersecurity will be a major subject of presentations and discussion next week at the Secure Rail Conference in Orlando, Fla. The agenda features three sessions on the topic:• "Approaches to Managing Infrastructure Cyber Security Strategies," which will be presented by Jim McKenney of CSX; Frank Marcus of Wurldtech Security Technology; and Peter Thomas, of GE Transportation.• "Defining and Preventing Cyber Spear Phishing Attacks," which will be presented by Lester Hightower of Florida East Coast Railway. • "Hacking the Internet of Big Things," which will be presented by Nick Chodorow of The Belt Railway Co. of Chicago; and Ron Schlecht of BTB Security.The conference will feature sessions on other topics related to protecting rail passengers, employees, technology and assets from security threats. For example, recently added to the agenda is "Think Like the Wolf: Rails in Asymmetric Warfare," which will be presented by Rich Gent, president and chief executive officer of Hot Rail LLC.Hosted by Progressive Railroading, the conference will be held Feb. 9-10 at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort.
