The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently launched a new COVID-19 employee vaccination site at Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
As many as 200 MTA employees per day will be receive the Pfizer vaccine at that location, according to an MTA news release.
The MTA opened a similar site for employees in Brooklyn on Feb. 23.
The Grand Central location will serve all MTA employees, but is primarily for the roughly 6,400 employees of MTA Metro-North Railroad, which is headquartered at the terminal.
Currently, 100 transportation workers per day continue to receive the COVID-19 vaccination at the state-run site at Jacob K. Javits Center, in addition to 200 per day at the MTA’s Brooklyn site.
